Over three years from early 2013 till the late summer of 2016 I photographed the students of Art Division at a series of retreats they attended on the Andrea Rich Estate in Ojai.
While we were there they painted and photographed, took lessons, and spent time in an environment far from their everyday life.
My hope with these pictures is to show you something of the students and of the environment they were in.
More than a record of the place, I wanted to give you some impression of how the landscape felt on the hot sunny days and how we arranged ourselves in it.
